Project Fit Mum is Canberra’s newest fun group fitness for Mums & Bubs. There are several locations to choose from in Gungahlin including Crace, Franklin and Mitchell with a flexible timetable to suit Mums. Project Fit Mum will help you get your pre-pregnancy body back and in the best shape of your life. No need to worry about what you will do with the kids because they can come too, meaning you don’t need to pay for a creche or baby sitter!
There is a mix of indoor and outdoor locations to choose from and every class is different so you’ll never get bored. With functional fitness in mind, exercising is made as as fun as possible with different circuits, cardio, boxing, strength training and fitness games – all suitable from beginners to advanced. You can commence classes from 12 weeks postpartum if you have been given the all clear from the doctor to commence exercising again.
Each class goes for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour as this is usually a good amount of time before the kids tend to get restless. During the classes children can be in the pram alongside you or in the safe designated play area where you can keep an eye on them. Our trainers will also be there to assist with the bubs when needed, giving you the most out of your workout.
