In November 2018 the Amaroo School P&C hosted a multicultural carnival for the school community and Gungahlin community to attend. The carnival itself was a successful day with rides, entertainment and lots of food options for everyone to enjoy.

The focus for the P&C with this event was to fundraise for the school to build a new playground for the students. Based on a successful event the P&C was able to donate $28,000 to the school.

On the 14th March there was an official opening of the new playground with Amaroo School Principal Gai Beecher, members of the Amaroo School P&C and some lucky students to be the first to experience the playground.

The Amaroo School P&C thanked the multicultural carnival sponsors Amaroo Village, IconWater LJ Hooker Gungahlin, Katrina Burgers Photography, Gungahlin Club, Canberra Metro, My Gungahlin, Nikias Diamond, St George Bank Gungahlin, My Local Gym Canberra, MollyCoddle Parties and Solar Choice.

Congratulations to Emma and the committee members that managed this event to produce such a great result for the school.
