Striving for clinical excellence and genuine care, YourGP@Crace opens Monday 5th May.

YourGP@Crace opens May 5 and is now taking bookings. It is located at the entrance to the new suburb of Crace on the corner of Gundaroo Drive and Abena Avenue. The centre will open with six doctors and has capacity to expand. The practice vision is to strive for clinical excellence and genuine care.

Dr John Petelczyc, Dr Julie Hewitt and Dr George Guirguis will be relocating to this practice. These well respected GPs have been working in Belconnen for over 25 years each. Dr John Petelczyc will be re-opening his books for new patients for a limited period.

Dr Sue Guirguis, also a long-term Canberra GP, will be practising exclusively in skin cancer and cosmetic medicine. She performs skin checks, skin cancer surgery, botox injection, chemical peels, thread face-lifts and dermal fillers.

Drs John and Mel Deery have been working in the region for 14 years and are very pleased to be returning to Gungahlin. They have been working most recently at YourGP@Lyneham and will continue work at both practices. Dr John Deery will be performing a weekly vasectomy clinic at Crace.

Dr Mel Deery says the new curved building at Crace was designed to maximise views over the surrounding parks and hilltop reserve. The practice offers easy access parking with over 50 parking spaces. Families with young children are well catered for with two designated children’s waiting areas.

A dietician, audiologist and nurses will join the Crace team and Capital Pathology will be located on site.

In a first for Gungahlin, orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Wisam Ihsheish, will be setting up his private rooms adjacent to the practice. Dr Ihsheish grew up in Canberra and has returned to make Canberra his long-term home. He has a particular interest in joint replacement, arthroscopy and trauma. He practises at The Canberra Private Hospital, Calvary John James and Calvary Bruce Private Hospitals.

YourGP@Lyneham

YourGP@Lyneham, located beside Tilley’s Cafe, will continue to provide quality family medicine with special care given to families with young children. The practice has a reputation for having one of the best kids’ waiting rooms in Canberra. Patients love the convenience of online bookings with around 30 per cent of bookings made online. Parents with young children can book during the night if their child is unwell, giving peace of mind that they have secured an appointment.

Dr Hayden Henry has special interests in men’s health, sports medicine, children and young families. He is accepting new patients.

Dr Heike Kath moved to Canberra from Jervis Bay earlier this year and is also accepting new patients. Dr Kath completed several years of paediatric specialty training before deciding to become a GP. She has completed a diploma in paediatrics (Westmead) and also has special interests in women’s health.

The phone number for YourGP@Lyneham and YourGP@Crace is 6109 0000.

Bookings can be made online at yourgplyneham.com.au or yourgpcrace.com.au.

Opening hours Mon – Fri 8am – 6pm, Sat 9am – 1pm (Crace only).
