Bunnings have announced a $55 million dollar investment in Gungahlin by building a Bunnings Warehouse Gungahlin to be developed on Block 1 Section 4 in Gungahlin. This is the large site in front of Magnet Mart Home Hardware & Timber.

The plan currently allows for a single-level Bunnings Warehouse above lower level car park & retail outlets fronting Hibberson Street. This will allow for an active street frontage to Hibberson Street.

There will be a total of 650 parking spaces with four entries and exits to parking. There will be separate entry, egress for service and delivery vehicles. Bunnings have advised a traffic study supports a “satisfactory outcome”.

There will be native landscaping along Anthony Rolfe Avenue. To allow for the layout of the building as currently designed it does require Bunnings gaining permission to remove the large tree at the top centre of the block.

Signage will be on two pylons and on one wall of the building. There is also a requirement to remove an easement to all allow for an access way.
