AASCF 2018 NATIONAL CHEER & DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS JUST TOPS 12,000 COMPETITORS/1763 TEAMS

Melbourne, Victoria: Federal & State Governments are all investing heavily in trying to arrest the decline in young female’s participation in sports but AUSTRALIAN ALL STAR CHEERLEADING FEDERATION (AASCF) Cheer & Dance Championships are bucking the trend with over 56,000 competitors in 2018 which represents a 20% growth in participants.

SIRENS CHEERLEADERS is proud to have sent 123 athletes to compete in the sports crowning glory, AASCF National Cheer & Dance Championships. They competed against over 12,000 competitors from 1700+ teams at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on 23-25th November 2018 and came away with 11 titles over a range of categories. Sirens Cheerleaders has teams at all levels and has Canberra’s only level 5 team.

All Star cheerleading teams do not cheer for other sports teams.... They are the TEAM!!!

All Star cheerleading is a competition sport that involves females and/or males performing a 2 minute & 30 second routine composed of stunting, pyramids, group tumbling, jumping and a dance break. This routine is performed and scored against other competitive teams at competitions.

All-star competitions are an incredibly exciting and social event where sports combine with theater as All Star Cheerleading and Dance, perhaps more than any other sport, is judged not solely upon the sum of its parts, but on the overall entertainment value of superior technical athleticism combined with creative presentations.

Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF), is an organisation for All Star cheerleading coaches & athletes around the country dedicated to the promotion and advancement of All Star Cheer & Dance as a respected athletic discipline and sport.

AASCF is Australia’s largest and most prestigious event producer offering championships all across Australia from June to November
