There are no changes to household bin collections over the Christmas and New Year holidays for 2016-17. Scheduled collections will occur on Boxing Day 26th December 2016.
On Sunday 25th December all waste facilities will be closed, including all business operating within the Mitchell Management Centre.
There are recycling drop off centres available 24 hours, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day at Baillieu Court, Mitchell and O’Brien Place Gungahlin. Please remember when placing cardboard in the recycling centre to flatten all boxes and throw them into the middle of the cage to not block the gates.
Canberra Sand and Gravel will be close at 4pm Thursday 22nd December and reopen 7:30am Thursday 5th January so you will not be able to drop off green waste there during this time. Parkwood will be closed 25th December, 26th December and Sunday 1st January. On the days they are open you will be able to drop green waste off.
