A 38-year-old Kambah man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 16 August) charged with four Gungahlin burglaries and nine other related offences.

Following investigations into three burglaries in Harrison on 19 June 2017 and one burglary in Gungahlin on 14 August, members from Gungahlin Police Station and the ACT Police Targeting Team executed two search warrants in Kambah yesterday.

During the search, police recovered a number of stolen items, including almost all of the property stolen from the burglary on 14 August.

The 38-year-old Kambah man was placed under arrest and later conveyed to the ACT Watch House. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of minor theft and six counts of obtain property by deception.

Station Sergeant Rod Anderson of Gungahlin Police Station sought the community’s assistance in identifying suspicious activity.

“Although police are out patrolling, this is your community and you are likely to notice when something seems out of place. We encourage you to report any suspicious activity to police when it is occurring on 131 444,” said Station Sergeant Anderson.
