As previously advised Sport and Recreation Services has awarded the contract for the management of the soon to be opened Gungahlin Leisure Centre (GLC) to not-for-profit organisation the YMCA (the Y).
The contract is for a 10 year period however, it will be reviewed after the first two years.
The Leisure Centre is on track to open in late May with public tours being planned to be available in the lead up to the grand opening.
The Gungahlin Leisure centre will include:
- 50 metre 8 lane pool;
- 25 metre pool;
- Gymnasium;
- Dry fitness rooms;
- Cafe; and
- Childcare facilities
