The Gungahlin Place Light Rail terminus will be a high profile and dynamic rail stop that will generate intense pedestrian and shopper activity. We understand that the construction works to achieve this have been disruptive and are keen to complete works as soon as possible.
Scope of Works:
The works involve transportation of rail from the welding station near Kate Crace Street to installation at Hinder Street. Cranes will be positioned across Hinder Street to install rail into track slab.
Hinder Street will remain open but traffic will not have through access across Hibberson Street.
Vehicles will still be able to access the Gungahlin Village underground car park but only limited on street parking will be available on Hinder Street.
There will be road detours in place to divert vehicle traffic and buses. Traffic management will be in place and highly visible throughout the works, including signage and personnel.
Works Schedule:
From Wednesday 11 April 2018 to Saturday 21 April 2018.
The working hours during this period only have been extended to accommodate the works – 5am to 11:30 pm.
No works will occur:
- after 6pm Saturday evening;
- Sundays (day and evening)
