The George Harcourt Inn (opposite Cockington Green) was built in 1980 and named after a local landowner, George Harcourt. George was a bit of a lad in
his time. He was a good businessman, a keen sportsman and, generally, an all round man’s man – and an Englishman to boot.
We are a family friendly pub and we offer the best of live music, great food and a cool kick-back atmosphere, giving The George a unique ambiance. This
fine establishment has great appeal to those who don’t want the *kachink* of pokies and the constant drone of TV screens in the background. The noise
has been replaced with the sounds of cruising music as a background for good conversation and relaxation.

Sing for your Supper is our new night in an effort to encourage aspiring young musicians. Entrants will be given the opportunity to perform for 15 to 30
minutes in exchange for a meal and a drink. This will provide a great chance to have your voice heard and make connections. 'Sing for your Supper'
may even lead to more regular paid gigs. You can register as many times as you like.
Join us at The George on Sunday's for more live music for our Sunday sessions.
