The Gungahlin Jets Australian Football Club is a not-for-profit organisation and has been part of the Canberra sporting scene since 1982. In 1992, the Club – then known as the East Canberra Football Club, moved to Canberra’s fifth town centre and proudly adopted the moniker of the Gungahlin Jets.
Over the years, the Gungahlin Jets have continued to thrive in the region and now field two senior men’s teams, one under 18s team, one senior women’s team, a youth girl’s side and 15 junior sides ranging from under 8s to under 16s. The club is dedicated to the development of all teams as a whole, and its membership is growing rapidly each year.
The Gungahlin Jets also support the AFL Auskick initiative, running a program for approximately 70, 5 to 7 year old boys and girls. The Auskick program teaches elementary football skills and aims at instilling a healthy approach to fitness through a fun, participative, and encouraging environment.
The Gungahlin Jets are as passionate about their community responsibilities as their football, embracing the community in which they live and play. Welcoming players, volunteers, and supporters from all backgrounds and all abilities, they believe if you have a heart for football, they have a home for you. Gungahlin Jets: Get on Board.
