After the recent distribution around some areas of Gungahlin by a group calling themselves the ‘Concerned Citizens of Canberra the ACT Human Rights and Discrimination Commissioner has released a statement. The statement concludes that the flyer is unlikely to breach racial vilification under the ACT Discrimination ACT 1991 because the flyer is concerned with religious issues, rather than race.

They also do conclude that an ACT complaintaint of the Muslim faith who received the flyer may have more success in the Federal jurisdiction.

The full statement can be read here.
