Earlier this month Liz Toussaint from Poetry in Flowers was awarded the Steve Bell Award by the Rotary Club of Gungahlin to recognise the positive impact her Random Acts of Kindness program has in Canberra.

Liz encourages her customers to make a cash donation into a small box labelled “Random Acts of Kindness” in her florist shop in Gungahlin Village.

These cash donations go to a floral arrangement to be sent to a local Respite Care, Hospital, Aged Care Home, Disability Service, or a Community Service of choice. When donations reach up to $30, Liz will donate another $30 to go towards a substantial floral arrangement.

In June this year The Cancer Support Group was one of the beneficiaries of this random act of kindness. They were so taken with this gesture they posted a huge thank you on our Facebook page.
