Plans have been lodged for a 109 place child care centre in Throsby on the block bound by Gecko Way, Bettong Avenue and Pademelon Street.

The development is part of a proposal for a multi-unit development which includes the construction of 24 two storey terrace dwellings with unattached garages on the same block. The proposed development will be constructed in stages, stage one being the terraces and the second stage the child care centre.

The child care centre is expected to have 6 different rooms providing care for babies to children aged 5 employing 17 staff. The child care centre will be orientated north west, with a large setback to Gecko Way. The external play areas are heavily planted and external shade structures provide a large expanse of protected outdoor play space.

All the details can be viewed and commented on by 17th January 2018. https://www.planning.act.gov.au/development_applications/pubnote
