Offering a range of health services, Canberra City Health Network is a family-based business that has been caring for the capital for over a decade.

The practice boasts a multi-disciplined team of practitioners offering long-term treatments and solutions in the fields of osteopathy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, remedial massage, nutrition and psychology.

Together the practice combines a wealth of experience, knowledge and compassion to offer the best in professional patient care.

And it’s a commitment to health that has been steadily growing since 2004, when Osteopath, Dr BJ Field, first opened the practice doors under the name Canberra City Osteopathy.

In the years that followed the service grew to become one of Australia’s largest Osteopathic clinics, and in 2016 expanded to also encompass a second clinic at Casey.

Having just celebrated its second anniversary in the Gungahlin region, the practice aims to develop long-term solutions for muscular skeletal issues, while also managing individual conditions through stretches, ergonomics, posture, individually tailored rehabilitative exercises, and nutrition.

Dr Field explains that “since its inception the clinic has always been about quality care, comprehensive treatment and service to patients.”

And the warm, welcoming environment extends from the first point of contact to the long-term management of each individual case.

With a wealth of expertise at their fingertips, Canberra City Health Network involves a team approach, and the practice’s expansion has enabled it to deliver a wide selection of services that cater to each patient’s needs.

Dr Field notes this allows patients to be treated to the highest standard in one central place.

“Often true patient care involves providing complementary services, with total health and wellbeing affected by a variety of factors.”

“For example, what may present as a sore back has its root in a deeper cause such as posture, nutrition or day-to-day habits, meanwhile nutrition may be linked to psychology, or depression may be linked to ongoing pain.”

“Our comprehensive team of over 30 clinicians under the one roof allows us to identify the influencing factors and treat the individual as a whole.”

Canberra City Health Network offers a vast array of services – from remedial, relaxation and sports massage to lymphatic drainage and myofascial release therapy.

In addition, the practice has a dedicated nutritionist, psychologist, and physiotherapists. Canberra City Health Network’s roots in osteopathy ensures each patient is viewed as a whole person rather than just a symptom, taking into account their vascular health, nerve health, musculoskeletal health and mental health in order to assist with a complaint.
